Aluminum tubing is a hollow metal pipe made from pure aluminum or aluminum alloys through extrusion, classified as a type of nonferrous metal pipe. Its product forms include square tubes, round tubes, and patterned tubes; based on manufacturing method, it is divided into seamless aluminum tubes and conventional extruded tubes; and according to precision requirements, it is further categorized into standard-grade tubes and precision-grade tubes that require secondary machining. It is primarily used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, electrical appliances, agriculture, and home furnishings.
This material is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, with its strength further enhanced through heat treatment; however, its corrosion resistance must be improved via anodizing, electrophoretic coating, or aluminum cladding. Its excellent bendability facilitates installation, and in refrigeration systems it offers energy-saving benefits due to the corrosion resistance of the inner wall and low thermal resistance. Manufacturing processes include chemical polishing and mechanical brushing, with nylon guide lubrication sleeves employed during cold drawing to prevent damage to the inner surface. Aluminum coil tubing, featuring a continuous structural design that minimizes joints, enables innovative applications in areas such as hydrogen storage and transportation. Supporting processing equipment includes automated clamping devices that utilize reverse threads for precise gripping.
